
CCSWB heroes welcome the Recognition Roadtrip Bottle to Mesquite and Dallas on Feb. 21, 2022. Mesquite is one of approximately 20 cities in Dallas County, and it’s just a short drive from the Mesquite Buckner facility to some of Dallas’ most iconic locations, from Reunion Tower to the State Fair grounds.

Mesquite heroes and the Recognition Roadtrip Bottle had a ball at Reunion Tower on Feb. 21, 2022! Constructed in 1978, this unique centerpiece to the Dallas skyline wasn’t originally supposed to be spherical. Originally, plans for the 561-foot tower called for a pyramid on top, or even a flat observation deck. Today, Reunion Tower is a Dallas icon, often lit up with logos for local college and professional sports teams, or supportive community messages.

Opened in 1930, the Cotton Bowl Stadium serves as the site of the annual football game between the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma – otherwise known as the “Red River Showdown.” Aside from football, the Stadium has also hosted numerous events in its 90-plus years, from World Cup games to concerts from entertainers like Elvis Presley, the Eagles and Aerosmith.

Howdy, folks! Mesquite heroes took the bottle for a spin at the Texas Star Ferris wheel at Fair Park in Dallas. Each fall, the fair grounds transform into the beloved Texas State Fair, which has been held every year since 1886, with exceptions for significant global events such as World Wars I and II, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The bronze cattle were created by Texas artist Robert Summers nearly 30 years ago to honor the cattle drivers who traveled through Dallas on the Shawnee Trail in the mid-1800s.

Mesquite heroes and the Recognition Roadtrip Bottle visit the American Airlines Center on Feb. 21, 2022. Opened in 2001, the American Airlines Center has become a top national arena and the heart of Dallas entertainment. It is the home of beloved Dallas teams like the Mavericks and the Stars, as well as the host to talented performers like Justin Timberlake, Billy Joel and Garth Brooks.
