COCA-COLA SOUTHWEST BEVERAGES WINS 2018 MARKET STREET CHALLENGE

(Dallas, August 2018)  Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (CCSWB) has been named the national champion of the 2018 Coca-Cola North America Market Street Challenge.  This highly prestigious award was presented to the CCSWB team during the Bottler Awards Reception at the North America System Plan Meeting in Atlanta.

The Market Street Challenge recognizes excellence in market execution across major retail channels. CCSWB competed against eight different Coca-Cola bottlers from a wide range of geographies and sizes.  The top qualifying bottlers gathered in late July in New York City to present their results for claiming the coveted award. All qualifying bottlers then voted for the winner.

CCSWB was recognized for significantly improving its execution from its inception in 2017 to 2018.  While the company’s first year was focused on exceptional customer service and smoothly managing its transition to Arca Continental, the team also began laying the groundwork for significant improvements in customer execution.  After implementing the Fundamentals and Market Street Challenge strategies, CCSWB is now above the total level of U.S. execution metrics across all channels.

“It’s impressive to think of what we have accomplished together in a little more than a year as CCSWB,” said Mark Schortman, president and CEO of Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages. “This award is evidence that the hard work and dedication to excellence our team members exhibit every day is paying off.”
